I really enjoyed Odysseus outsmarting the cyclops. Seeing how the Cyclops did not fear the wrath of Zeus or any other gods was intriguing as most creatures feared the Olympian Gods. Another enjoyment was how Odysseus hid his name from the cyclops. For my story telling this week I think that I will retell the sotry of Susanoo, the Japanese storm god and his battle against the Serpent Orochi. As mentioned before Japanese culture and history are one of my favorite things to learn about and even tell people about. I often rant on about just the little things I know and I hope that I will be able to retell this story in such a way that my readers are captivated and can imagine the events transpiring right before their eyes. After going over the Units for this semester, I have selected the three that most interest me. The British, Asian, and European Units. The reason I would like to study these is because of the myths I already know about and more that I would like to learn about. I am looking forward to these sections during the semester especially learning more about King Arthur.
